Taja is a self taught oil painter from Bossier City, Louisiana. Her work is inspired by her independent studies in philosophy and mythology.

The paintings are a direct manifestation of the knowledge that flows through at that time. Her work is motivated by a desire to recreate the world as she wants to see it, and express peace and calm. 

She prefers to add an impasto style, building layers of thick, expressive paint to create texture and dimension while using soft pastel colors. 

Through color, texture, and movement, she aims to create paintings that feel romantic, uplifting, and serene. 

For Taja, painting is both a creative practice and a way of appreciating the life all around us. Each piece is an opportunity to slow down, observe, and translate the natural world into something ethereal.
